Thursday Night Special...

Florida State Seminoles vs. North Carolina State Wolfpack

Gomer: I've had quite the run of good luck picking the Wolfpack as the spoiler many times in the past, but I really can't even begin to justify it here. The Seminoles have played outstanding defense for the most part this season and finally showed some life in their offense in the rivalry game with the 'Canes. Christian Ponder should continue to improve and will help lead his team to victory in another nail-biter with versus the pack. FSU: 17 - NCST: 9

Chief: Bobby’s Noles enter Raleigh after a bye week following an ugly yet very satisfying win over arch-rival Miami. Yes, Miami put up 39 points on FSU, but the defense was much better than that. Miami only scored on turnovers and gadget plays. Whenever faced with a short field, FSU takes care of business. This week will be no different because while Miami is a team on the rise, the Wolfpack is dropping fast. That win over ECU is a distant memory as the Pirates have fallen off the map. Look for Ponder to shore up the mistakes (I’ll still say 2 turnovers), Smith to pound the ball, and the Nole defense to shut down the Pack on Thursday night. FSU: 31 - NCST: 6

BYU vs. TCU - Gomer: BYU - Chief: BYU
